After emergency food and sanitary needs, the possession of a healthy home is an essential condition for leading a decent life and facing difficulties.
SOS Chrétiens d’Orient is present in post-war areas in order to help and assist the inhabitants in the reconstruction of their homes and damaged or destroyed heritage.
The aim is to enable the population to return to the war-affected towns as quickly as possible and in the best possible conditions, and to enable them to rebuild their lives on their own land.
After an audit, the association finances the equipment and personnel and provides a list of suppliers and engineers, in order to carry out the projects in close partnership with the beneficiaries.
The association works on the rehabilitation, construction or reconstruction of private housing, but also of public buildings, such as schools, churches or hospitals.
