The heart of Syria bleeds for its two martyrs.

All our thoughts go to Father Hosvep Hanna Bidoyan and his father, Hanna Ibrahim Bidoyan, as well as to the deacon Fati Sano. As they went to deir Ezzor, two men, armed with kalashnikov, shot the car from behind and then from the front to kill its passengers.

Father Hovsep was an Armenian Catholic priest of Qamishli but also a family father! He leaves behind three children, a boy and two girls.

Currently, the ceremony is taking place in Qamishli where his body will be exhumed.

SOS Chrétiens d'Orient owes to him its mission in Armenia! Father Hovsep invited Alexandre Goodarzy, head of mission in Syria, to visit Gyumri in the summer of 2018, in order to participate in an international gathering and to help the young Catholic Armenian of the Jezireh to travel in the country of their Ancestors.

Since SOS Chrétiens d'Orient sends volunteers regularly and gradually a mission is opening in the oldest Christian State in the world.

Today, "the Syrian mission" are heavy heart thinking about the moments shared and lived in Armenia thanks to this new martyr.

Father Hovsep may your soul rest in peace. May your soul rest in the hands of the Lord for eternity!
