He receives three sacraments from the hands of an Iraqi Archbishop.

SOS Chrétiens d’Orient gave me the chance to go at the other end of the world, in Iraq, to live an experience that I will never forget.

For two months I tried to do the best I could to help our Christian brothers and sisters who suffer on a daily basis.

There I had the chance to be welcomed as a son and to be, at the end of my two months of mission, baptized by Archbishop Najeeb, Chaldean Archbishop of Mosul and Aqra, in the church of Bana Sor where I had the pleasure to be responsible for the projects.

Being part of the great catholic family was a lot to me and I must admit that the context in which I was baptized also brings a lot of meaning to my conversion.

Two hundred people answered present to attend my baptism and I must say that never such a number of people had moved for me.

I would like to thank Monseigneur Najeeb for his listening and kindness, my Godfather Antoine Brochon who accompanied me during my mission and my spiritual path, Father Fareed the priest of the village of Bana Sor and finally the association SOS Chrétiens d’Orient and all the volunteers who allowed me to live one of the most beautiful moments of my life.

Jean-Baptiste, volunteer in Iraq.
